What is CHRISTMAS for you?

Christmas for me is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Redeemer, our Master. It is a time to give thanks for all the things we had received throughout the year. It is a time love & share to make others happy and alos to make Jesus Christ happy. Christmas is not only celebrated during December 25, but instead, it must be in our hearts every day of our lives; especially if there's love, peace, unity and sharing always..
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL in advance...
Be cheerful always, and strive to be happy!!!:))

One Love, One Family, One Mission, One with Christ

Today, we launched our first ever Youth Mass at Nuestra Senora del Pilar Parish. It was planned and officiated by the Youth Ministry, which had different ministries like; the Choir, Dancers, Altar Knights, Greeters, Lectors/Commentators..etc..., Also this launching was made possible with the help of our very supportive Parish Priest, parents, friends and other members of the Youth Ministry. This event will not be this successful without the guidance and the showering grace of whom all this things came from, from GOD.

~Thank you to all who participated and may our mission of living Christ's word, be fulfilled with the guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, the people around us and the things that happen to us everyday that teaches us lessons in life...
~May all the Youth be involved in this Youth Ministry, because every youth has his/her place and part in the Church, to serve and praise GOD.

*TO GOD BE THE GLORY!*

Don't Give up!!!

NEVER GIVE UP! in whatever you do, in whatever you aim for and the things you've prayed for..
Believe and never stop believing, for good things come when we almost feel like GIVING UP...

Never..

Never believe what the lines of your hand predict about your future.

Because people who don't have hands, do also have a future..

Forget... and ....Find

Forget about all the reasons
why something may not work.
You only need to find one;
good reason, why it will. :))

What if,...

What if God has an answering machine?
'For Thanksgiving, Press 1'
'For Confessions, Press 2'
'For Comments, Press 3'
'For other prayers, Press 4'

What if the machine tells you this,
'Sorry, All the angels are Busy now, Please try again later...'

It will be hard, right?

So, let's thank God, because He personally listens and answers our prayers.:)

According to my fortune cookie in Facebook:

PrEtEnDiNg!:)

Define pretending....
~saying you're okay but you're not
~that you understand, but you don't
~acting like you're busy, but in reality you're lonely
~convincing people that you just wanna be friends, but what you really want is more than friends
~when sad situations happen, you act like it doesn't hurt, when deep inside it really hurts
*and when you say you can't relate with this message, but then you really do.

How Important is Money?????????

What is money? Money as defined in the Roget's College Thesaurus, is finance, funds, treasure, ways & means, wherewithal, almighty dollar, resources and many more definitions..

But in this Chinese proverb that they say brings luck, originated from the Netherlands; has gone around the world 8 times, let's see what money can buy/do and can't buy/can't do...

With money you can but a house, but no home; a clock, but not time; bed, but not sleep; a book, but not knowledge; see a doctor, but not good health; buy a position, but not respect; blood, but not life....

see??????:P

Hypertension.....High Blood!

Everytime, someone is really stressed, or gets so indignant/angry easily that he/she shouts at you, we usually say, "Ui, relax lang, daw ma high blood/hypertension ka gid dayon!?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~BUT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you know that Hypertension is becoming a common and frequent cardiovascular disease these days? if left untreated it may cause heart, kidney & brain complications and may lead to heart attacks and strokes. Factors such as heredity, stress diet and obesity may be associated with hypertension.....
so INGATZ..Relax...anf see your doctor regularly, not only when necessary, to check if your heart is healthy...:))
Taize Vigil Prayer
Last July 16-17, we had our first-ever Taize that was from 6:00pm of July 16 to 6:00am of July 17. we really didn't slept the whole night. When the Taize prayer was introduced to us days before, many questions and thoghts popped-up into my mind like, "Panu ni man? di ko guro ni kaya ah..", "Yehey! basta upod ko lng friends ko di ko na matuyo ah!".
When I knew that the BEC/SME club members will considered as the working committee to make this event a success, I never understand it at first, so I said,"Ahaaiiii, panu ko ni yah karon ka enjoy kag ka upod sa mga friends ko sharing man?????" I thought of that also because I never what was the job of being an SME member, I thought it was going to be really that stressful, but I realized that it wasn't.
During the Taize Prayer, all of the High School learners who came from different schools, including us from Assumption-Iloilo was divided among 10 groups according to the signs placed in our name tags that was distributed by the Campus Ministry. We had many songs of praise sung and many activities; like sharing and watching video clips on the large screen. Until morning came and the sun slowly went up and shined bright up ther in the sky, we had our mass to end the most unforgettable and the first ever taize that happened in Assumption-Iloilo especially for its centennial year.. After the mass we had our semi-breakfast, in which we ate pandesal, arroz caldo and we drunk Milo to awaken our sleeping nerves...
I expect more of these every year, I hope...It's really a great sacrifice to praise God for the gift of Assumption education and for our Mother Foundress, St. Marie Eugenie of Jesus..
-ALL COMES FROM JESUS CHRIST & ALL MUST BE FOR JESUS CHRIST!:))
Assumption-Iloilo is now 100 Years Old!!!
Assumption-Iloilo was first established, of course here in Iloilo in the year 1910. It was unbelievable when I first knew it, since I was a new student last year. The Assumption community started preparing for this centennial celebration almost five years ago, which is represented by their five core values which are:faith, love, truth, justice and also included here our last year's theme which is, JOY=Jesus Only You! and now the year that we've totally waiting and prepared for have arrived, Assumption is now at its 100th birthday or should I say the Centennial Year...
This year was really been a busy year for all of us, we've had a lot of singing practices that made us clamor always and as well, it also helps us avoid quizzes in other subjects..(kidding):))...And we've had many days of no class because of the talks and events in which we've learned to be responsible in our daily schedules and we've learned a lot..
This centennial celebration, sure would be a really memorable experience on our lives. because we've enjoyed it so much because of the games and activities facilitated by the alumni..
Thanks for all our efforts that made our centennial celebration a success..and Assumption-Iloilo is a gift that's worth sacrificing for......To God be the Glory!!!!
Growing Up 101
Wasn't it's just yesterday that we ask our mothers, our home works? Now were hanging out with our friends, going to parties, and some of us are even getting asked out for dates.
Becoming a young woman isn't easy, but our mothers can prepare us for the challenges of growing up.Because they've been through it before , and they're our best source of information and support.Our mothers can't always be there to protect us, their daughters. But even now they can talk to us about making responsible choices for our future, so we must be open for it.
EMO..
The generation of today is really into being an emo or gangster, bla!bla!. the meaning of emo for us today is that, person or people most of the time wearing Black, like listening to music and that emo hairstyle. But did you what EMO really means?
Emo (pronounced /ˈiːmoʊ/) is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace. As the style was echoed by contemporary American punk rock bands, its sound and meaning shifted and changed, blending with pop punk and indie rock and encapsulated in the early 1990s by groups such as Jawbreaker and Sunny Day Real Estate. By the mid 1990s numerous emo acts emerged from the Midwestern and Central United States, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the style.
See what our generation have done to the true meaning of EMO?:)
Limitations of Science
Science is said to be the body of knowledge of what is happening all over the world. But did you know that Science have limitations too?..
Somethings happen miraculously in this world..Like some of the patients in a hospital, they were already diagnosed in that hospital for about a month, but nothing happened and there were no signs of getting better..After a few days, the doctors were amazed because some of the patients have recovered already. When some people asked how did that happen..The hospital either the doctors can't tell why. So, it means Science can't explain it. In this, we can say that religious studies and science don't get into conflict.Because when Science cannot explain something, religious study can help to do so.
The True Definition of White Lies
White Lie/s often belong to the group of words/phrases called Idioms. Idioms are expressions, words or phrases that have figurative meanings that is comprehended in regard to a common use of that expression that is separate from the literal meanings or definitions of the words of which it is made.
White Lie/s, doesn't really mean, colored white, lie/s. but it means lie/s that are made to make someone feel good, instead of telling him/her the truth. There is a saying that goes,"Sometimes, the truth hurts."
